Camera Monitoring and Image Storage Policy
SURVEILLANCE CAMERA AND IMAGE STORAGE POLICY
1. Purpose and Scope of the Camera Surveillance Policy
Çeşit Parlatıcı Zımpara Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi ("Çeşit") conducts camera surveillance activities to ensure the security of the company, its employees, and other individuals. This activity is carried out in compliance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), the Law on Private Security Services, and other relevant legislation. The use of surveillance cameras is announced to all employees and visitors, and warning notices are posted at the entrances of monitored areas. In accordance with Article 12 of the KVKK, Çeşit implements all necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure the security of camera recordings.
2. Areas Subject to Camera Surveillance
Çeşit conducts camera surveillance in company buildings and facilities for security purposes and to monitor business activities. Employees and visitors are informed about this practice when their identification information is collected or through informational notices posted within the company premises.
3. Purpose of Camera Surveillance and Storage
Çeşit conducts 24/7 camera surveillance in its main buildings and facilities to maintain security and oversee business operations.
4. Access to Recordings and Data Sharing
Digital recordings are accessible only to a limited number of authorized personnel (Security Unit, Human Resources, and IT Department). Those with access rights must sign confidentiality agreements. Contracts with security service providers stipulate that data will only be used for specified purposes and stored in compliance with the KVKK.
5. Data Security Measures
Çeşit protects camera recordings with stringent security measures, including:
Network and application security, encryption, and firewalls
Maintenance of access logs and regular audits
Physical access controls to secured areas
Cybersecurity measures (penetration testing, antivirus systems)
Data minimization and secure backup procedures
Regular internal audits and monitoring of user accounts
Special protocols for sensitive personal data protection
Data loss prevention software and intrusion detection systems
6. Retention Period for Surveillance Footage
Camera recordings are stored for 1 month due to the critical nature of monitored areas. After this period, data is securely destroyed in accordance with data disposal policies.
7. Informing Relevant Parties About the Surveillance Policy
The company's camera surveillance practices are communicated to employees through privacy notices and preliminary information statements. Additionally, signs are posted at building and facility entrances to notify individuals about surveillance activities.
