Policy on Fulfillment of the Obligation to Inform
1. Purpose and Scope
Çeşit Polishing Abrasive Industry and Trade Limited Company ("Çeşit") is committed to fulfilling its obligation to inform data subjects whose personal data is processed in a transparent and legally compliant manner. This policy aims to disclose, in a clear and understandable way:
Our identity as the data controller,
The purposes of data processing,
The parties to whom data may be transferred and the purposes of such transfers,
The methods of data collection and legal bases,
The rights of data subjects under the Law on Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK").
Legal Basis: Article 10 of KVKK, the Notification on the Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform, and guidelines issued by the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).
2. Individuals Covered by the Obligation to Inform
Our company applies this policy when processing personal data of the following natural persons:
Customers, visitors, employees, job applicants, interns,
Suppliers, business partners, shareholders/partners.
The obligation to inform is automatic and not contingent upon the data subject's request.
3. Methods of Providing Information
We fulfill the obligation to inform through the following physical or digital channels:
Written texts: Information pages on our website, notice boards at building entrances, forms.
Electronic communication: Email, SMS, call center.
Accessibility for disabled persons: Audio descriptions or Braille printing for visually impaired individuals (in compliance with Law No. 5378 on Disabled Persons).
Due to our burden of proof, we prioritize methods that create written evidence.
4. Content and Procedures of Informing
4.1. When Personal Data is Obtained Directly from the Data Subject
During data collection, the following information is disclosed:
Data Controller: Çeşit’s contact details and representative (if any).
Processing Purposes: Specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes (e.g., contract management, legal obligations).
Data Transfers: Limited to stated purposes; recipient groups include business partners and public institutions. (No international data transfers are made.)
Collection Method: Automated (web forms) or non-automated (physical forms) methods.
Legal Basis: Conditions specified in KVKK Articles 5/6 (e.g., explicit consent, contractual necessity).
Rights of Data Subjects: Rights listed in KVKK Article 11 (e.g., deletion, rectification, objection).
4.2. When Personal Data is Obtained from Third Parties
If data cannot be obtained directly from the data subject (e.g., from public sources):
Information is provided within a reasonable period after processing begins,
Or during the first communication or before any data transfer.
4.3. Exceptions
Per KVKK Article 28, the obligation to inform does not apply in cases such as:
Crime prevention or intelligence activities,
Official statistics or scientific research.
5. Policy Review
This policy will be updated in line with legislative changes or internal process requirements.
